The Sun... and a blogger indictment

Today I informed a student that the sun is actually a star. A very close star. So close, it burns our skin. So if you ever wonder what a star looks like close up... look at the sun. She was shocked. Her hand was over her mouth, eyes huge. No way.

Yes way.
I love that.

I think I need to post on blog-etiquette:
After my last blog post, I received two messages via phone within twenty minutes, commenting on my post. Ahem. The comments were via phone. Not via blog... hmmm....

Also, I really wish my sister had a blog... oh wait, she does. She's just keeping it a secret. Maybe she should let us all see it... and her adorable kids... and her wonderful husband... and read her delightful thoughts. I yearn for them. I pine. I know she's reading this.

That is my indictment. It was subtle, I know... so let me clarify.
1) The comment link is for commenting. Having phone conversations about my blog really messes with my stratified world... so let's keep things separate.
2) Secret blogging totally defeats the purpose of blogging. It's like... slogging. Who wants to do that?
3) Also, no one should read blog posts on their phone while they are in the midst of a nine hour car trip.

That last indictment was just for Darcie. Probably not relevant for the rest of you.

  1. Darcie I knew it was you she was talking about! VERY dangerous I think, we want you to be our friend who could see us again for uncommon fun... I'll leave it at that :)
Hannah, my world is very categorized as well... which is why we're about to open another checking account so that our money doesn't get "mixed" lest we not know what is specifically designated as maternity leave "income" :) my banker husband can't stand the craziness of my mind, I'm glad you sympathize in blog world anyway!

  3. A few hours after I posted the above, I received the following from Darcie, via phone:

"I will never post on your blog again."

    We'll see.

Jessie, thanks for liking my writing! I find yours wonderful as well, and read it everyday!
And yes, Sarah MUST reveal her blog identity.
