Sari's Blog, Quotable Boys, To Make you Thankful

Everyone should see this blog: http://sarahsintention.blogspot.com/

She is my sister, my hero. There are lots of reasons you should look at her blog, long and often, but here are two:

1) She has been blessed to be pretty much the most able person I know. And, she doesn't know it... so she's even super fun to be around. From horse back riding to mothering three beautiful young ones, she has much to teach and show... and her blog will make you thankful.

2) The other day, when I was on the phone with her, I heard my nephew run in the room and yell "I'm going to poop on your BED!!!" To which Sari responded, "Please go put some clothes on."

With a life like that, one must have a blog.

Why little boys are each so rare and wonderful:
"When I grow up, I want to take care of reptiles and amphibians. That's what I want to do. Of course, I'll have a private studio for my legos. And, I'd be willing to stay home and raise my kids, if I ever get married. And I'll probably have to get a real job too." -an 11 year old.

Me: What do you picture when I say "large"?
Six-year-old-boy: You! You're large!
(He was not trying to be funny or cute. I was simply the first thing that came to mind.)

This week I met three brilliant little boys at the shelter. I asked them how we can know that the Lord is faithful. I assumed I would need to expound on this. I figured they wouldn't know what to say, or would struggle with belief in this area... I mean, I struggle every moment with that, and I don't even live in a homeless shelter... but one of them looked at me, puzzled by the question, and said, "well, because he parted the sea and made water come out of a rock and gave us Jesus."
Boom. Three reasons we know. Three out of thousands and millions. Good grief, that rebuked me... but mostly, it made me thankful.

"...unless you turn, and become as children..."

"... but tell the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done. . . that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God." Psalm 78:4, 8-7a.
