The sun came out today while I was at the laundromat. It didn't stay long. Inside the crowded, tumbling, murmuring, clean-smelling laundromat someone said "The sun's out!" And every head in the place lifted from its folding, reading, texting or dozing to see... the city looked shiny, smooth, and gray... and full of sleeping promise... for a moment, winter seemed defeated.
I hope you saw it too.
